Inviting people to the center to enhance the cultural base

For those recommended by the autonomous district councils, the center will provide the packaged opportunity to experience the traditional music
performances and to have cultural tour of this local area as well as accommodations, food. This is designed to supply people more chance to be exposed to appreciate the traditional music culture and ultimately internalize their experience into their own culture and to expand the cultural ground of the traditional music to attract more people. For the local people with little access to the center, the center will also provide a similar program for them to watch the traditional music performances and to look around the local cultural area for their cultural understanding of where they live. All of these will increase the number of those fond of the traditional music in the end and thus will form a extensive cultural consensus among people.

Training Program for the Traditional Music Specialists

- To Provide Further Specialized Classes for the Field Specialists or to Support the Related Groups

The center have programmed the further courses with extensive topics of the traditional music for the people specialized in this area by groups, university departments, or who major the traditional music. The center will also support the seminar, training activities held in the center by the groups concerned.

- To Support the Korean Traditional Music Sessions as Part of the Extracurriculum Program Provided by the Public School Education System /To Provide the Instructors for the Program

As part of the promoting project, the center will provide the traditional music instructors or the music instruments to the local public schools, culture centers nearby.

- To Provide Training Programs of the Traditional Music for the Officers in Culture and Arts Fields

The center will provide the training course for the officers in charge of culture of arts from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism or from the local autonomous district councils. The program includes the introduction to the Korean traditional music, theoretical aspects as well as performing class and the guide to listening the traditional music

- To Provide Vocational Training Program for teachers

In order to help the teachers of elementary, middle or high school be equipped with a good command of teaching the Korean traditional music at the class, the center will provide a systematic training course on the traditional music theory, music instruments playing and others deemed necessary for the school music education.

Promoting Traditional Culture through Offering Programs of Training or Experience

- Korean Music Training Program for the Students of Middle, High school or University

The center has developed the 3-day traditional culture program for the students of middle, high school or university. This will offer students an valuable opportunity to learn and experience the traditional culture of their own.

- Experience Program of the Traditional Culture for Overseas Koreans

To further the cultural exchange among Koreans both domestic and overseas, this program offers the overseas Koreans to visit the various places of the tradition culture and to learn and to experience it. The ultimate goal of this program is to enable overseas Koreans to understand and to perform the traditional cultural arts and to enhance cultural pride as Koreans.

- Weekend Culture experience Program for Family

The center monthly provides a two day experience program of the traditional culture for the families applied for the program at the center. Through this program, families can experience the traditional culture and watch the Friday regular performance at the center. They will also have an opportunity to look around the local area and to visit the historic sites. Through this family trip to experience the traditional music, the members of the family will be able to find the more enhanced family bond among them.

- Classes of Korean Traditional Music and Dance for Those Interested

The center provides classes of Korean traditional music and dance for people interested regardless of their profession, age, gender. etc. The classes consists in order to enhance their understanding and performing ability of the field they are intersted. Practice class to increase their understanding and music ability, we provide classes to beginners such as workers, housewives, and college students. (12 week course, 4 times a year)

- Culture Class of Korean Traditional Music for Teenagers

For local teenagers, the center designed the culture class of Korean Traditional music which lasts throughout the year. In the course, they will be taught to play traditional music to strengthen their understanding on the traditional arts by being exposed to opportunities to participate in performing traditional arts. This will bring more population to the traditional music for their interests and thus solidify the basis for transmitting the traditional culture to the following generations.

- To Support Outside Organizations in Their Training Program

The center will support outside organizations of any kinds; public origin, cultural art groups, or schools; in their training course by recommending workshops on the traditional music. The center will provide diverse kinds assistance, for example, allowing them to use the facilities of the center including performing hall and accommodations of Sarangchae.
